Miami Dade College To Close Tuesday, August 19 Due To Tropical Storm Fay

Miami, August 18, 2008 - Miami Dade College (MDC) closed at 2 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2008, and will remain closed Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Fay. All activities scheduled for this evening and tomorrow have been postponed. The College’s essential employees are asked to immediately consult with their supervisors regarding their schedules if they have not done so already.  

The MDC emergency planning team will continue to monitor the progress of Fay. It is anticipated that the college will reopen Wednesday, August 20.

However, students and employees are asked to regularly check the college’s Website, www.mdc.edu, or hotline, 305-237-7500, for the very latest information.
