Homestead Campus - Dr. Jeanne F. Jacobs

Dr. Jeanne JacobsDr. Jeanne F. Jacobs is the President of Miami Dade College’s Homestead Campus, located in the downtown business district of the City of Homestead. Dr. Jacobs came to MDC from Sinclair Community College in Ohio, where she served as Vice President for Instruction and Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Administration of Higher Education with a minor in English from the University of Alabama.

InterAmerican Campus - Dr. Gina Cortés-Suárez

Dr. Gina Cortés-SuárezDr. Gina Cortés-Suárez is the President of Miami Dade College’s InterAmerican Campus, located in historic Little Havana. She has nearly three decades of service at MDC, including as a member of the faculty and as Associate Provost for faculty initiatives. Dr. Cortés-Suárez holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University.

Kendall Campus - Dr. Lourdes Oroza

Dr. Lourdez Oroza

Dr. Lourdes Oroza is the President of Miami Dade College’s Kendall Campus, located in the Southwest area of Miami-Dade County.  She has served MDC in various capacities since 1998, including Dean of Academic Affairs at the Wolfson campus and Chairperson of the Departments of Business, Computer Information Systems, and Community Education at the InterAmerican Campus.  From 2008 to 2010, she served as the Provost of Broward College, Judson A. Samuels South Campus.  Dr. Oroza holds a Doctorate in Adult Education and Human Resource Development from Florida International University, a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s Degree in French from Tulane University.  She was twice recognized as a Kellogg Foundation Leadership Fellow and serves on the board of the National Community College Hispanic Council.

Medical Center Campus - Dr. Armando Ferrer

Dr. Armando FerrerDr. Armando J. Ferrer is the President of Miami Dade College’s Medical Center Campus. Dr. Ferrer has served MDC for more than 30 years in various capacities, including Dean of Students at North and Kendall campuses. He holds a Doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Miami.

North Campus/MDC West - Dr. José A. Vicente

Dr. José A. VicenteDr. José A. Vicente is the President of Miami Dade College’s North Campus, the College’s first location that opened in 1960, and also oversees MDC West. Dr. Vicente has served MDC in various capacities since 1973, including as founding President of the InterAmerican Campus. He holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Nova Southeastern University and he has engaged in post-doctoral studies at Harvard University and at the JFK School of Government.

Wolfson Campus - Madeline M. Pumariega

Madeline PumariegaMadeline Pumariega is the president of Wolfson Campus, located in the vibrant and cosmopolitan heart of downtown Miami. She began her career at Miami Dade College in 1992 and has occupied various roles throughout her tenure, including  Dean of Student Services at Wolfson Campus and Dean of Students and Administrative Services at Medical Center Campus. Pumariega serves on the boards of City Year Miami and Take Stock in Children, and was a national Kellogg Fellow for the League for Innovation’s Expanding Leadership Diversity in Community Colleges program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in education from Florida Atlantic University, and is pursuing a Ph.D. at Barry University.
