Computer Courtyard
The Computer Courtyard, located in Rooms 2201 & 2301, was the first of many exciting instructional technology strategies used at the Wolfson Campus of Miami-Dade College. This sophisticated multimedia center features over 400 IBM Pentium 4 and Macintosh G4 computers within a networked environment that offers full Internet access and multimedia facilities to registered students, staff and faculty. The Courtyard offers a tremendous variety of technological resources for both students and instructors. A constantly growing library, containing thousands of software titles, videotapes, and CD's provided by different departments, helps facilitate the learning process. Faculty and students are able to digitize pictures and text using state-of-the-art scanners provided on both floors of the Courtyard.
The Computer Courtyard is administered by the Campus Chief Information Officer, while daily operations are supervised by Rosa Barros, the Courtyard Manager. You may contact Ms. Barros in room 2201, or call her at (305)237-7022.

Student Services
The Dean of Student Services is responsible for supervising all programs and services related to student affairs. Included in the division are the Registrar's office, Testing, Academic Advisement, Counseling and Career Services, Financial Aid, Special Support Services, Student Employment Services, Recruitment and Student Co-Curricular Activities.
A major function of the Dean's office is to act as advocate-at-large for the students. Implicit in this function is the goal of assuring that all students are afforded due process with any problems with faculty, financial affairs or academic records and are provided with a forum in which questions and concerns may be discussed.
For faculty, the most typical reason for assistance requests relates to behavioral difficulties experienced with students in the classroom. Faculty encountering this type of problem may call the Division to discuss potential strategies or refer students directly so that disciplinary steps can be taken. Regardless of the circumstances, most problems are readily resolved after a dialogue with faculty. The Dean's office is also an excellent source for information regarding policies and procedures that affect students.
Emergencies and Injuries
Life-threatening emergencies should be reported directly to Security Services. If a phone is not available, designate an individual to go to Security Services to report details.
In case of fire, activate the nearest fire alarm and follow standard building evacuation procedures. Other incidents including accidents, illnesses or disabilities requiring medical attention, elevator breakdowns, crimes, threats, and suspicious incidents should be reported immediately to Security Services by telephone or in person. Incidents involving accidents, medical conditions or potential liability to the College are reported by Security Services to Risk Management. Crimes are investigated by Metro-Dade police
